Meditation on A Shoestring is an animated short film from the team that created the award-winning Something Terrible Happened to Joey. In this short, we follow a man working in a rush for a deadline, who is stymied by technology. Attempting to calm his frustration and catch his breath, he slams the door to his office and goes on a walk with his dog. 

In the midst of a forest, they come upon a stately old home. The dog rushes to the front door with the man hurriedly in pursuit. Inside, the dog leads the man up to a beautiful mahogany and leathered home library with an old-fashioned typewriter and dial phone. While perusing the library, the man discovers a child attempting to tie his shoe. He calmly helps the frustrated child learn patience and persistence. Then, as he hugs the child, he folds him into himself. With the child within, he gets back to work.
